Watched by adoring fans, brow furrowed with concentration, he made one final effort to reach his goal. He had been practising for a while now but till now the goal had proved elusive. But not today. Today he was going to put his entire effort into achieving his objective. And cheered on by his multigenerational fan club, the environment was just right. So on January 11, just ten weeks from the time he had started, Nikhil turned over on his stomach! The fact that he was able to do it so quickly even surprised him - as you can see in this epic photograph of the event below:
Now of course he cannot wait to repeat this feat at every opportunity.
But he has now set himself new targets. He is very diligent at it too. He practises daily with his grandfather, that is when his "dada" is around and not traipsing around the country, and he is very enthusisastic in his attempts. See him pracised below:
It will not be too long before Nikhil can say "dada", Papa, Mamma and dadi with clarity and ease. And of course Bua too since she has been harassing him for days to call her first instead! We shall see..
